الأب جبرائيل شمامي
عرفتُه من بغداد، أيام كان راعياً لكنيسة مار يوسف شفيع العمّال، في منطقة نفق الشرطة، إلتقّيتُه في مناسبات عدَّة. كان نشاطه متنوِّعاً، يتوزَع بين الخدمة الرعوية، والأنشطة الإجتماعية والثقافية. مباشراً واضحاً في تعاملاته مع الناس، مُلبِّياً إحتياجاتهم، منظِّماً أوقاته بدقَّة بالمواعيد المثبَّتَة. يقول في كُنيَتِه: إسمي الأب جبرائيل شمامي، ولدتُ في قرية تِنا - ناحية سرسنك - قضاء العمادية- محافظة دهوك- عام 1950، أكملتُ المرحلة الإبتدائية في مدرسة الداؤديَّة، دخلتُ معهد مار يوحنا الحبيب في الموصل عام 1961، رُسمتُ كاهناً في 6\5\1970، تم تعييني في أبرشية العماديَّة وخدمتُ لعدة سنوات في قرى باردرش وإينشكي وبيناثا والداؤدية، خدمتُ في بعقوبة أكثر من ستة أشهر، إنتقلت إلى أبرشيَّة بغداد وتعينتُ في كنيسة مريم الطاهرة في كمب الكيلاني عام 1982، إنتقلت الى كنيسة مار يوسف شفيع العمّال في حي حطين - نفق الشرطة في 4/11/1991، تعينتُ في أريزونا - أميركا في 19 نيسان عام 2008، عرَّبتُ عن الفرنسية كتاب (الأخت مادلين والكنيسة)، عرَّبتُ عن الفرنسية عددَين من ملفَّات الكتاب المقدس (عجائب يسوع، وكنيسة البدايات)، ترجمتُ من السريانية إلى العربية كتاب (قصة قرية تِنا)، ألَّفتُ كتاب (تِنا قريتي الحبيبة)، كتبتُ عدَّة مقالات في مجلَّة الفكر المسيحي ومجلَّة نجم المشرق ومجلَّة ربَّنوثا . كنتُ محامي الوِثاق في محكمة بداءة بغداد لمدة خمسة أعوام، أنا من كهنة يسوع الملك. أكتب في عدَّة مواقع إليكترونية وخصوصاً على موقع
واليوم، وأنا أتابع المواقع الإلكترونية باختلاف إختصاصاتها، مررتُ بخزين إسهاماته على موقع (كلدايا)، لأشعرَنَّ بانتعاش قلمه السيّال في إنتقاء ما يتحدَّث به، وما يُحيله موضوعاً مكتوباً يستقطب عناية القارئ المتلقي. إليكم أنقل من موقع كلدايا المقال التوجيهي للأب جبرائيل شمامي، بعنوان:
إذا ذهبتَ إلى الكنيسة للإشتراك في القداس... إذا ذهبت الى الكنيسة للإشتراك في القداس... - تبنّى قناعة مفادها:' الإشتراك في الذبيحة الإلهية ضرورة قصوى، لا يمكن الإستغناء عنه مطلقا لأنه مركز حياتنا المسيحية. - كن خلال الأسبوع في إشتياق روحي الى اللقاء بالرب. - قبل أن تذهب إسأل نفسك هذا السؤال :'لماذا انا ذاهب الى الكنيسة'. - تهيّأ قبل يوم، وتذكَّر ما يجب القيام به إستعدادا للإشتراك الأفضل في القداس. - تحمَّم واغتسل والبَس أجمل ما عندك من ثياب، لأنك ذاهب لتمتثل امام حاضرة الله. - ليكن يوم الأحد بالنسبة لك يوم عيد تنتظره وتعدّ له لأنه' يوم الرب' - ليكن لباسك محتشماً ولائقاً فانت ذاهب الى بيت الله وليس الى نادي ولا الى إستعراض للأزياء . - يقول مار بولس في رسالته الى تيموثاوس :'أريد أن تلبس المرأة ثياباً فيها حشمة وأن تتزيَّن زينة فيها حياء ورزانة لا بشعرٍ مجدول وذهب ولآلىء وثياب فاخرة بل بأعمال صالحة تليق بنساء يعشن بتقوى الله ' 1 تيمو2: 9 - على المرأة أنْ لا تجذب نظرة الرجل بلبسها ثيابا غير لائقة لأن المكان مقدس . - على الرجل أن ينظر الى المرأة في الكنيسة نظرة طاهرة نقية كأمه وأخته وإبنته . - تعال الى الكنيسة قبل بدء الصلاة بربع ساعة إستعداداً لما سيجري ويحدث أمامك من أمور قدسية وروحية . - إغلق هاتفك النقال لكي لا تُسمع رناته في الكنيسة . - إرمِ العِلكة من فمك خارجاً فأنت لست في صالة السينما ولا في الشارع العام . - إذا دخلت الكنيسة فتبارك بالماء المبارك، وقل: 'يارب أغفر خطاياي وإرحمني'. - وارسم إشارة الصليب على وجهك بتقوى وإيمان. - أسجد بتواضع وهيبة ووقار أمام المذبح . - إذهب وخذ مكانا لك بكل أدب وإحترام. - إذا كان لك اطفال فإذهب الى الغرفة المخصصة لهم وحاول قدر الإمكان تهدأتهم . - حافظ على نظافة الكنيسة كبيتك ولا ترمي فيها المناشف الورقية بعد إستعمالها . - لا مجال للكلام والضحك والإستهزاء لأن المكان الذي أنت فيه مقدس . - ركّزعلى ما يجري أمامك، فلا مجال لنظرات غير محتشِمة .. - لا تكن في الكنيسة متفرجاً ، فالصلاة والذبيحة التي تقام أمامك روح وحياة وقداسة . - خذ كتاب القداس بيدك، وتابع لتعرف ما يجري أمامك. - صلِّ من كل قلبك ، وشارك في الصلاة بعقلك وقلبك وكل جوارحك . - شارك في الصلاة والذبيحة الإلهية ، ولا تكن ساكتاً ولا نائماً ولا شارد الذهن. - إركع عند الركوع وإجلس عند الجلوس وقف عند الوقوف وصلِّ مع الجميع بإيمان وتقوى. - اللمَّة (التبسيَّة ،العُشر) عطاء ومحبة وسخاء، وتعني:' يا رب إن كل ما أملكه هو منك فباركه ' وما تعطيه هو عربون لما يجب أن تعطيه لله. - خذ سلام المسيح وأعطه لمن هم بجوارك ونقِّ قلبَك من كل بغض وزعل وكره فالجميع إخوتك وأخواتك في المسيح. - إذا كنت مثقلا بخطيئة كبيرة تعال قبل القداس واعترف بها أمام الكاهن ، لتصفي وتنقي ضميرك. - القداس إحياء لسر التجسد والخلاص، يسوع يكلمك من خلال انجيله ويصبح غذاء لك ويموت من اجلك ويقوم من بين الأموات لتقوم معه وتحيا الى الأبد وعندما تتناول فإنك تتناول المسيح الحي القائم، فاعرف اهميّة ما يجري أمامك. - وقت القداس مَهيب ورهيب ومقدس فهو عربون من الأبدية فإفرح وإسعد وتنوّر وتقدّس وإمتلىء من الروح القدس. - تناول القربان فالذبيحة التي تشترك فيها لا تكمل إلا بالتناول . - عندما لا تتناول تحت الشكلين ، فمَدُّ اليدين عادة شرقية أصيلة، فمدّ يدك على شكل صليب وكأنك تستعطي خبز الحياة من الله وتناول القربان بنقاء وطهارة . - تناول بخشوع ومحبة وإيمان وتقوى الرب . - لا تخرج من الكنيسة حالاً بعد التناول ، بل إبقَ ولو دقائق لتشكر الرب على نعَمه الوافرة ومحبته العظيمة لك والتي نلتَها من خلال القداس . - ما أخذته وتعلَّمتَه من القداس أنقلْه إلى بيتك وجيرانك وأصدقائك ،لأن الحياة المسيحية إمتداد للذبيحة الألهية. - بدّل بعد القداس سيرتك ليرى فيك الآخرون المسيح . - إحترم كتب الصلاة، لتبقى في خدمة وفائدة المؤمنين ولا تطويها إلى الخلف ولا تكتب عليها ولا تأخذها الى البيت ولا تجعل منها لعبة بيد الأطفال فلقد صُرفت مبالغ كبيرة لطبعها. - إذا شاركت في القراءات المقدسة فلا تفعل ذلك إرتجالا، فكلام الله لا يُرتجَل ، بل هيِّىء القراءة قبل يوم أو يومين . - لا تغادر الكنيسة إلا بعد أن ينتهي القداس ويأمر الكاهن بالإنصراف . - الكنيسة مكان مقدس لا مجال للكلام لا قبل القداس ولا بعده . - أهل بيتك مطالبون مثلك بالمشاركة في الذبيحة الإلهية ، فلا تقبل لهم في إهمالها عذرا. - تقيَّد بهذه الأمور بحب وإيمان وروح مسيحية عالية . الأب جبرائيل شمامي

If you went to Church to participate in Holy Mass…
You must believe that: “participating in the divine sacrifice of the Holy Mass is an absolute necessity, and is very important not to leave it out of our lives as it is the centre of Christian life.”
U During the week be in a state of spiritual craving to meet the Lord. U Before you go ask yourself this question: “Why am I going to church?” U Prepare yourself a day before, and remember what you need to do to participate fully in the Mass. U Wash and clean yourself and wear nice clean clothes, because you are going to be in the presence of God our Lord. U Let Sunday be for yourself a day that you await and count down to it because it is the “Day of the Lord”. U Let your clothes be conservative and decent because you are going to the House of the Lord and not to a club or a fashion show. U St. Paul says in his Letter to Timothy “Similarly, women should adorn themselves with proper conduct, with modesty and self-control, not with braided hairstyles and gold ornaments, or pearls, or expensive clothes, but rather, as befits women who profess reverence for God, with good deeds.” 1 Timothy 2:9-10. U A woman must not try to attract the look of a man by wearing inappropriate clothes because the place is sacred and holy. U A man who looks at a woman in church must look with a pure eye because she is like his mother, sister and daughter. U Come to church before mass by 15 minutes in preparation to what will be happening in front of you in terms of spiritual and sacred things. U Turn off your mobile phone so that you and others are not distracted by its sound. U Get rid of chewing gum from your mouth before entering the church because it is not a movie theatre and you are not on the street. U When you enter church bless yourself with holy water and say: “Lord, forgive me my sins and have mercy on me”. U Put the sign of the Cross on your face with faith and strength. U Kneel down with humility and reverence in front of the altar. U Go and take your place in church with full respect and good manners. U If you have young children, go with them to the special room built for them and try as much as you can to keep them quite and calm. U Keep the church looking clean and tidy by not throwing anything on the ground. U There is no time for talking, laughter and disrespect in this place as it is holy. U Concentrate on what is happening in front of you near the altar as there should be no time to look with an impure eye. U Don’t be just watching and observing in church, because the prayer and the divine sacrifice in front of you is done in spirit, life and holiness. U Take the book of Holy Mass in your hands and use it to follow what is happening in front of you. U Pray from the bottom of your heart, and take part in the prayers with all your heart, mind and your senses. U Take part in the prayers and the divine sacrifice and don’t be silent, sleepy or allow your mind to drift. U Kneel when it is time to kneel, sit when it is time to sit, and stand when it is time to stand. Pray with all the people with faith and strength. U The collection basket is the tender, loving and generous support of the people, which means: “O Lord, all that is mine is yours to bless, and what I give is a small token of what should be given to God”. U Take the peace of Christ and give it to those sitting next to you and clean your heart from all that is hate, dislike, fighting, because all people are your brothers and sisters in Christ. U If you have a mortal sin then come before mass and go to the priest to do confession / reconciliation so that you cleanse your mind and conscience. U The mass is the revival of the mystery of salvation and incarnation, Jesus talks to you through the Gospels and becomes food for you and dies for you and rises from the dead so that you rise with him and live for eternity. When you take communion you are actually taking Christ the risen and living Lord, so understand and learn the importance of what is going on before you. U The Mass is a solemn, awe inspiring, and sacred time and it is a gift from eternity. So be happy, enlightened, blessed and filled with the Holy Spirit. U Take part in communion because the divine sacrifice that you participate in does not become complete without you taking part in communion. U When taking communion open your mouth to receive the Holy Eucharist and take it with purity and without any blame or guilt. U Partake in communion with humility and love, faith and fear of the Lord. U Do not leave church right after communion, but stay even if for few minutes to give thanks to the Lord for His abundant blessing and great love for you of which you received through the Mass. U What you took and learnt from the Mass pass it on to your home, family, neighbours and friends. This is because the Christian life is an extension of the Holy Mass. U After Mass, transform your life so that others around you can see the Christ in you. U Respect and take care of the books of prayer and the book of Holy Mass, so they can be used for the benefit of other believers. Don’t ruin them by writing on them or allowing the pages to be ripped or handled carelessly by children because a lot of money was used to print them. U If you participated in the holy readings during the Mass, don’t read it lightly or improvise when reading but take it and practice reading it a day or two earlier. U Don’t leave the church until the Mass has ended and the priest sends you out to leave. U The church is a sacred and holy place, there is no place in it or time before or after mass to chat and talk. U Your family is required, like you, to participate in the divine sacrifice of the Holy Mass, so do not accept any excuses to disregard this obligation.
