Lentil soup (TLOKHEE)
Ingredients:
One cup of shelled lentil, one table spoon of oil, six cups of water or broth, half cup of vermicelli, one onion, juice of one lemon and salt.
Preparation:
Sort and wash lentil, add water and put on fire until cooked.
Mash lentil and add salt.
Chop the onion finely and fry in oil, add to the lentil and leave on fire until boiled.
Add vermicelli and leave to boil until fully cooked and thickened, add the lemon juice and leave to boil for five minutes.
Optional:
Add tomato juice for color after the onion is fried.
Add boiled chicken.
