Brown lentil stew (SHOPATEE)

 

Ingredients:

Five cups of brown lentil, one Kilogram of fatty meat and salt

 

Preparation:

  1. Sort the lentil and wash.

  2. Chop the meat and add to the lentil in a sauce pan, add water and put on a slow fire.

  3. If available use pressure cooker for this recipe.

  4. Leave on fire until fully cooked.

  5. Stir and add water for the desired thickness.

  6. Add salt and serve hot.

 

Optional:

Add cup or two of soaked chick peas.
